Super Eagles will enjoy ample training time with the official World Cup match balls, after FIFA dispatched 25 of the new balls to the Nigeria Football Federation, (NFF) THISDAY exclusively learnt last night.

The ball, made by adidas, is known as Brazuca and will be used in all 64 matches at next year's World Cup in Brazil.
FIFA World Cup Competitions office sent 25 of those balls to Nigeria, to allow the Eagles to study its performance before the competition where they will face Iran, Bosnia-Hezergovina and Argentina in Group F.

A FIFA officer, Adrian Brooke, told THISDAY in an email last night that NFF has already taken delivery of the balls.
Brooke, who is the Alliances Manager, FIFA Marketing Division, said the official match balls, unveiled on December 3, in Rio de Janeiro, were also sent to all 32 countries that will feature at the world's biggest football competition.
Altogether, 800 match balls were dispatched to the teams.

Brooke similarly hinted that an additional 25 brazuca balls will be supplied to the Nigerian team upon arrival in Brazil next year.
''On behalf of the FIFA World Cup Competitions office, I am happy to confirm that Nigeria and all participating teams have received 25 brazuca official match balls for familiarization. The teams will receive another 25 brazucas upon arrival in Brazil ahead of the tournament,'' Brooke said.

The name of the ball is a contraction of Brazilian and Bazuca, Portuguese for "bazooka".
The ball is designed in multi-colours and will attract global focus in the same breath as Jabulani, which was the match ball used at the 2010 finals in South Africa.

Some of the technical features of the ball include integration of six polyurethane panels to maintain the weight and roundness of the ball even in the thickest of rain.

The panel shape revolutionizes the game by producing faster flight speed and maintaining true roundness.
The bladder is made of latex and is meant to provide the desired rebound and trajectory.
