Singer Bruno Mars has pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine but has avoided a jail sentence in the US.
The Grammy winner made a brief appearance in a Las Vegas courtroom where a judge agreed to a plea deal.
The 25-year-old was arrested in September in a bathroom at the city's Hard Rock Hotel with a bag of cocaine.
Bruno Mars was given 12 months probation, a $2,000 (ÂŁ1,241) fine, 200 hours community service and ordered to attend drug counselling.
"He is going to stay out of trouble for 12 months," Berk told the judge.
If Mars does not slip up, the cocaine possession charge will be dismissed from his record in a year's time.
The singer, real name Peter Hernandez, won a Grammy Award in Los Angeles on Sunday for best male pop vocal performance for ballad Just the Way You Are.
The Hawaii-born singer has already scored two UK number one singles and a number one album with his debut Doo Waps & Hooligans.
