With a 4-1 annihilation of their West African foes, Nigeria are waiting patiently for another West African derby in the final. It is either Ghana or Burkina Faso. Ghana are making their fourth successive semi-final in the last four AFCON tournaments and have a sorry 31 year trophy drought hanging menacingly around their necks like an albatross. They have to remove it; they are poised to do so but have a resilient, hugely improved Burkinabe hurdle to cross.
