Libya’s position as host of the African U-20 tournament is under threat following days of bloody anti-government protests which have claimed more than 100 lives. The Confederation of African Football is expected to take a final decision on the hosting of the African U-20 Championship in Libya.Escalating violence and loss of lives in the North African State means the tournament is likely to be staged by a new host country and a new date.South Africa or Ghana are said to be likely hosts of the tournament.The decision could be taken at the 33rd General Assembly of Caf on Wednesday 23rd February 2011.Source: Yaw Ampofo Ankrah/Sudan
