The Namibia FA is set to find out next week if its appeal against Burkina Faso's inclusion in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations has been successful. The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has set Tuesday 15 November as the date for the appeal hearing.Namibia claim Herve Zengue, used twice in Nations Cup qualifying wins over the southern Africans, is ineligible.Cameroon-born Zengue has a Burkinabe wife but is yet to receive Fifa clearance to play for the Stallions.Should Namibia fail in its appeal with Caf, the association has said it will take it case to sport's highest legal power - the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Switzerland. But if the Namibians succeed in their case against Zengue, they stand in line to participate at January's Nations Cup in place of Burkina Faso.Article 36.12 of Caf's Nations Cup rules states a team which allows a 'non-qualified or a suspended player to take part in group matches shall lose the match by penalty (3-0), even in the absence of protests/reservations'.Therefore the six points from two technical 3-0 victories would see Namibia finish Group F with an unsurpassed nine points - five more than the Burkinabes' revised total. If they are successful Namibia would replace Burkina Faso in Group B alongside Ivory Coast, Angola and Sudan at January's finals in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.A three-man Namibia FA delegation, including the president, general secretary and legal adviser, will be in Cairo to hear the appeal.
