Officials of the Census Secretariat are expected to meet enumerators in the three northern regions ahead of a formal announcement of the new deadline for the extended national population and housing census.
Though the Ghana Statistical Service has already indicated the exercise will now travel beyond the Sunday 10th October deadline, there is no word yet on how much longer it will last.
The exercise for the past ten days has been fraught with numerous challenges especially complaints about lack of questionnaires and logistics.
The Media and Communications Officer at the Ghana Statistical Service, Michael Adu-Gyamfi said a final decision will be reached after a meeting with enumerators.
Mr. Adu-Gyamfi reiterated the assurance of the Chief Government Statistician, Dr. Grace Bediako, that every Ghanaian will be counted.
