Ghana and Nigeria will face off in the CHAN semi-finals on Wednesday in what is sure to be an intriguing battle.
The two teams are old foes and while this week's line-ups won't pack the big names so often associated with the Black Stars and Super Eagles, there is plenty to play for and one can surely count on the players to rise to the occasion.
Nigeria entered the competition as one of those tipped to do well, but a slow start to the campaign nearly cost them as they needed to beat South Africa in their final group match in order to remain alive in the tournament.
Stephen Keshi's men have improved since their opening round draw with Mali - although some still consider their overall showing to be underwhelming - and will hope to continue that upward curve against Ghana.
Nigeria's finishing has been poor for the most part during the tournament, but they have nothing on Ghana who have not mustered more than one goal in any of their matches.
Kwabena Adusei's penalty was enough to see Ghana passed DR Congo on Sunday despite the defender struggling with a groin injury, and coach Maxwell Konadu will be banking on having him available for Wednesday's clash.
Godfred Saka and Sulley Mohammed may return to the fray after struggling with injury.
