Mr Henry Saja, the Greater Accra Regional Manager of the Pharmacy Council, has appealed to chemical sellers to take advantage of the council’s training workshops and those of other service providers to upgrade their knowledge.
He said education played an important role in the socio-economic development of every nation and that without it there would be no development.
Mr Saja said this at a day’s training workshop for the Greater Accra Regional branch of the Ghana Chemical Sellers Association in Accra.
About 150 members of the association attended the workshop that was under the theme; ”Customer Service Action towards better Health in Ghana — the role of chemical sellers.”
He called for unity among the members, adding that with unity they would achieve their aims.
Mr Richmond Nkansah, Marketing Manager of Ernest Chemists, a pharmaceutical company, appealed to members of the association to deepen their customer relationship to enable them to maximize profit.
“If you are attending to a customer and suddenly you turn to receive a call, you are not serving the customer and he will not patronise your shop again,” he said.
Mr Mark Bekoe, a medical representative of Medreich/Ernest Chemist of United Kingdom, said about 60 percent of disability is caused by pains in the joint and urged customers to engage in physical activities to maintain fitness.
