The National Chief Imam, Dr. Sheikh Usman Nuhu Sharabutu, on Sunday celebrated his 88th birthday in Accra.Dignitaries present to grace the occasion included the Deputy National Chief Imam; Sheikh Kamaludeen; the Minister of Transport, Alhaji Collins Dauda; Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North Mr. Joe Appiah, and Chief of the Hausa Community in Accra; Alhaji Abdul Kadir English and the Dagomba Chief in Accra.The Deputy National Chief Imam, Sheikh Kamaludeen lman, extolled the values and good works of the National Chief Imam which included faithfulness to Islam.He said this, among others, had brought him this far, saying ,"Let us all walk in the life of the National Chief Imam, so that we all have a long life," he said, adding that the title given to the Chief Imam is not just a title, but an anointing from Allah.Source: The Ghanaian Times
