Chief Justice, Mrs. Justice Georgina Wood, has urged Christians to vote on Election Day, December 7, 2008, which falls on Sunday.“Let us not behave like some of the leaders in our Lord Jesus’ time that would not lift a finger to help those in need on Sabbath day,” she said.A statement on Tuesday signed by Mr. D.A. Kwapong, Director of Communications of the Judicial Service, said Mrs. Justice Wood was delivering the keynote address at this year’s Assemblies of God National Ministers Wives Retreat held at Winneba last Thursday. She asked Christians to remember that there were many men and women of God who provided essential services for others on Sundays. On the country’s recent oil find, the Chief Justice said it was one of the many blessings that the Lord had showered on Ghana while being positive that it was a blessing and not a curse.Speaking on the topic; “The Holy Spirit and Leadership: Agents of Change in the Life of the Minister’s Wife in Church and Nation,” Mrs. Justice Wood said as people continued to search for meaning and purpose for their lives, the pastor’s wife could be the most effective agent of change in people’s lives. She asked pastors’ wives to work in partnership with their husbands in unity.Source: GNA
