He said the policeman took her to his house in the SSNIT Flats and switched on the television for her. After sometime, she asked to be allowed to leave but the policeman locked the door, tied her hands at her back and in an attempt to throw her on the bed she struggled with him resulting in the breakage of two louver blades. The girl said the policeman threw her onto the bed and defiled her, staining the bed sheet. He then asked her to wash the bed sheet while he went to take his bath with the door still locked. After she had finished washing the bed sheet, the policeman opened the door and dropped her at the barbering shop in the evening.Assistant Superintendent of Police Augustine Dogbega in charge of Volta Regional Office of the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Police Service confirmed the story and said the unit was investigating and would soon begin prosecution.Source: Public Agenda
