Zoobashop.com, one of Ghana’s largest online retail store has been awarded E-Commerce Company of the year by the Charted Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) over the weekend.
This marks the second time that Zoobashop has won the award since its inception in 2014.
Launched in December 2013, the solely Ghanaian-owned online store has worked assiduously to make online shopping appealing to the naturally conservative Ghanaian.
Its Cash on Delivery payment option, for instance, allows shoppers to make a cash commitment only after their orders have been delivered.
The award was received at the 27th Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) Awards held on Saturday, October 8th, 2016, at the Banquet Hall, State House - Accra.
The annual black tie event seeks to pat on their backs, entities in Corporate Ghana, who show marketing prowess in their bid to satisfy their customers.
CEO of the company, Albert Biga, said the Zoobashop team is happy to win the award for the second time and thanked their customers for their support.
"The team at Zoobashop.com is very proud of being adjudged the CIMG E-Commerce Company of the year for the second year running. We share this award with our loyal customers and promise to continue serving our awesome trademark service everyday, "he said. “
Director of Operations at Zoobashop, Mr. Andrew Aguda said in an interview after the awards that the e-commerce company did not rest on its oars after winning the maiden version of the award.
"The hard work has paid off and we are super excited about being adjudged the best e-commerce company for the second consecutive year. We will continually seek new ways to delight our customers with better variety, more convenience and above all, excellent service,” he said.
The team revealed it will be introducing new products and innovations in the world of online shopping in a bid to fulfill the needs of customers.
