Mining company Clean-Jobs Resources Limited, formerly Clean-Jobs Ghana Limited, has issued a stern warning to the public and stakeholders over unauthorised activities occurring within its mining lease at Tano-Anwia Forest in the Western region.
In a statement, the company emphasised its position as the legally recognised holder of the Mining Lease for the area, and warned the encroachers to stay of.
Clean-Jobs Resources said it holds a fully authorised Mining Lease for the Tano-Anwia Forest region, granted exclusive rights to conduct mining operations within the designated area, and that it is in the process of securing an entry permit from the Forestry Commission, a necessary step to begin any activities on the lease.
The statement said that recent reports indicate that illegal miners have encroached upon the company's lease area, which threatens the company's operations and the forest’s ecological integrity.
According to Clean-Jobs Resources, it has not granted permission to any individual, group, or entity to enter or conduct activities within its lease area and so any such activities carried out by unauthorised parties are illegal and lack the company's endorsement.
In response to the encroachment, the company says it has notified the Forestry Commission and requested immediate intervention to remove the illegal miners.
Clean-Jobs Resources said it is actively collaborating with the Forestry Commission to protect its investment and maintain the forest's ecological balance, advised the public to ignore any claims by individuals or groups asserting that they have the mandate of the company to operate within the lease area.
The statement quoted Clean-Jobs Resources as saying it is dedicated to protecting its lease and ensuring all activities comply with legal and environmental standards.
