Hollywood actor George Clooney has denied he enjoys a close friendship with US presidential candidate Barack Obama - insisting he has "never texted or emailed" the politician.
Clooney - who has publicly announced his support for Obama - was reported to be a good pal of the Democrat, even indulging in regular friendly chats with the Illinois Senator.
But the Ocean's Eleven star insists that his relationship with Obama is definitely not that close.
He tells E Online!, "I have never texted or emailed Senator Obama. And I'll offer a million dollars to anyone who could prove otherwise.
"In fact, I've only talked to the Senator once in the last year and a half.... on the phone.
"I would hope that my friend (Obama's republican rival) John McCain would join me in condemning this kind of politics.
"Although I support Senator Obama I would never be dumb enough to offer policy advice to either candidate. They seem to be doing fine without me."
Actress Scarlett Johansson, an outspoken supporter of Obama, recently admitted to exchanging emails with the politician and remarked that if Clooney had been in contact with Obama, 'Nobody would even talk about it".
