Ex-Real Tamale United coach Mumuni Gamel has set his sights on handling the Black Starlets despite applying for five different vacant national team coaching jobs.Today is the deadline for the submission of applications for the various national team jobs.Coach Gamel claims he has the perfect panacea to reverse the ailing fortunes the Black Starlets team. He told JOY Sports, “Players progress from the under-17 to the under-20 level, so they must well built to perform better. The standard of the under-17 national team has gone down and this is the time to use my experience to prove a point.”The Starlets, which won the under-17 World Championship in both 1991 and 1995, have failed to qualify for the last two editions of the mundial. The two time African champions also missed out on qualification to the last two editions of the continental championship.
