A total of 111 Community Education Teaching Assistants engaged under the National Youth Employment Programme (NYEP) in the Kpando District have received their allowances accumulated for four months.
Mr Kofi Ahedor, Kpando District Coordinator of the NYEP explained that the delay in the payment of the allowances was because the Ministry of Manpower, Youth and Employment wanted to be sure that only people who worked for the period were paid.
He assured the beneficiaries that their monthly allowances would henceforth be regular and urged them to work hard to raise the standard of education in the District.
Mr Pius Adanuti, Kpando District Chief Executive commended them for their patience and advised them to aspire to greater heights in life, promising the Assembly's preparedness to help those who wanted to own computers on hire purchase terms.Source: GNA
