The Ghana office of the World Health Organisation (WHO) says so far, 15 suspected cases have been tested in the country with all the cases testing negative for COVID-19.
In its report giving an update on Ghana’s preparedness to fight the deadly coronavirus, WHO said Ghana has the capacity to test for the disease at the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research and Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research.
The Organisation also noted government committing ¢2.5 million to support preparedness for the disease since it is classified among Priority 1 countries in WHO Africa region for at being at risk based on flights and passenger volumes.
