Joseph Boateng, a 65-year-old man was found dead on Tuesday morning in a farm at Fomena in the Adansi North district of the Ashanti Region, in an apparent suicide, having been missing for five days.
The tragic death of the sexagenarian, a former registrar of the Fomena Circuit Court, has left his wife speechless as she still groped for answers.
When she was told of the discovery of her husband’s decomposed body at their farm, Esther Boateng hardly believed the tale till she set her eyes on it.
The victim’s relatives had searched all corners of the community after his wife reported him missing last Thursday.
The sad event followed a tete-a-tete with his son, who was preparing to get married on August 18.
Boateng is believed to have died of poisoning in an apparent suicide because he repeatedly told his wife of his intention to embark on a supposed journey, Daily Guide gathered.
The case is currently, at the Fomena police station, while the decomposed body has been deposited at the morgue, awaiting investigation.
