President of the Creative Arts Council says the Creative Arts Industry will thrive better under the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) administration than the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Mark Okraku Mantey, stated that the NPP knows the woes of the industry and have made plans to grow it from where it is to something bigger.
"I prefer a bill getting passed to no bill at all. Sometimes, I hear some of my senior men and the NDC… they struggle too hard to get attention for their party."
The NPP, Mr Okraku said, has plans including ultra-modern studios, theatres and others for artistes and people willing to take their craft to the next level.
He stated that the productions of many artistes are not up to competing on the global level.
"Have you listened to the Shatta Wale-Beyonce song, play it and compare it to any of his songs, you will see that technology matters. Even the Nigerians are picking up, we were the matters of sound and now we are not."
Mr Okraku Mantey revealed that the government had also made plans to build domes for the industry but Covid-19 had stalled that progress.
"From where I sit and what I know, we stand a better chance with NPP than NDC. I prefer a free SHS that starts in a perceived wrong note than 'e dey bee keke'," he told Andy Dosty, host of the show.
