The visiting US President has disappointed teaming crowds of curious Ghanaians who lined up streets to catch a glimpse of him.
President was too busy on the second of his three-day visit that a planned street tour had to be canceled.
Enthusiastic crowds jostled for space along the major streets of Accra to see the man touted as the most powerful man on earth.
One cannot begrudge them.
After holding bilateral talks with his Ghanaian counterpart, President Kufuor, Mr Bush addressed the media.
From the Castle, the two leaders and their entourage went to the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre where they inspected an exhibition of Made-in-Ghana products that are taking advantage of the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) programme.
The AGOA initiative allows some 6,400 made-in-Ghana products exported to the US on a duty free basis.
At the stance of the Cocoa Processing Company, Mr Bush jovially turned down an offer of a bar of chocolate.
Meanwhile the Members of Parliament have been urging the president to remain firm in the event of a discussion on economic matters.
That they said was necessary to ensure that country’s interest was well protected.
