Decathlon Ghana, one of the leading sports trading shops in the country, has launched a challenge to unearth the talent of children in lesser known sporting activities.
The challenge is targeted at underprivileged children in the society who wish to sharpen their skills.
At least 100 children are expected to benefit from the programme.
Human Resources Manager of Decathlon Ghana, Pamela Asare told Joy News over the weekend sporting activities captured under the programme include basketball, Mini golf, Hockey, and Step race among others.
She explained the challenge will be held in the 10 Regions of the country immediately after the Accra challenge.
The challenge is expected to boost Ghana’s sports sector which has been experiencing a new direction since the beginning of the year 2017.
Meanwhile, Decathlon Ghana has said it will be opening its ultra modern sports store at the Junction Mall to supply sporting materials and costumes to sports lovers.
Pamela Asare has expressed optimism at this project saying it will bring out the stars to represent Ghana in the international front.
