Black Stars attacker Andre Dede Ayew sustained a left foot injury on Tuesday evening just twenty minutes when his club side Olympic Marseille were defeated by Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 at the Parc des Princes in the the Coupe de la Ligue .
The 22-year-old is set for medical examinations to determine the severity of his injury by the close of Thursday.
Paris Saint-Germain broke Marseille's four-year winning run in the Coupe de la Ligue, booking a place in the quarters alongside Montpellier, who beat Bordeaux 1-0, and Nice, who stunned OL 3-1.
The youngster hopes to recover with less than three months for AFCON 2013 in South Africa where Ghana has been drawn in Group B alongside Mali, Niger and DR Congo
