A circuit court at Akim-swedru in the Birim-South District, has remanded a diamond miner for allegedly impregnating a 15-year-old Junior High School girl.
Bismarck Kojo Owusu, 20, charged with defilement pleaded not guilty and would appear in court on June 10.
Police Chief Inspector Adelaide Appiahkrong told the court presided over by Mr. Kofi Akrowiah that the accused and the victim live at Osenase.
She said on January 26 this year, Owusu sent a girl to call the JHS pupil for her following which Owusu had sex with the victim.
Her father later noticed that she was pregnant.
