Police in Kumasi are searching for a tro-tro driver who allegedly hit a security man's head with a hammer killing him instantly.
The unidentified suspect struck the 32-year old guard of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Gorge Moore Kwarteng, who tried to restrain him from picking passengers at an unauthorized place.
KMA Public Relations Officer, Godwin Okuma-Nyame, told Nhyira News the victim was on official duty at Asanteman Gardens area when the incident occurred.
According to the PRO, they were told that there was some misunderstanding between the late Gorge Moore and an Urvan bus driver with registration AS 5826Y, culminating in the driver hitting the head of Moore with an object and absconded.
He said some volunteers rushed him to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Police though have confirmed the incident, don't have specific details on it.
