Carry not less than 200 Ghana cedis and your life may be spared. That is the warning by armed robbers allegedly given to residents of Agona Asamang in the Ashanti region.
The residents claim the armed robbers operate on the stretch of road from Asamang to Effiduase.
According to them, the robbers posted the notices on a tree, two weeks ago and this has left them and commuters in fear as two people have been attacked so far.
“They have used that means to shoot about two drivers,” the Ankobeahene for the area, Nana Kwakwa Sarpong told Joy News.
He said several attempts to seek redress on the issue have proved futile.
District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Edward Kusi Ayarkwa says the matter has not yet come to his attention.
He however, assures measures have been put in place to beef-up security in the district.
