Assembly members at Dzodze again failed to confirm Mr Moses Azaglo, 54, a teacher, as the District Chief Executive.
Mr Azaglo polled 15 votes with 14 against representing 52 per cent, exactly what he obtained at the first voting 10 days ago.
Mr Joseph Amenowode, the Volta Regional Minister said the President would make a new appointment but the appointment might not necessarily be made from the list of previous applicants.
He said with the exception of three districts, 15 districts in the region had confirmed the President’s nominees and said they would soon be given instrument of authority to start work.
There was disorder at the assembly after the voting with assembly members heckling each other.
Some assemblymen suspected to have voted against the nominee were whisked away in a police vehicle to the Dzodze Police Station and kept there for sometime for safety.
