The Electoral Commission in the Volta regional capital of Ho has implemented social distancing protocols at its regional office as they pilot the new voters’ register compilation.
JoyNews’ Fred Quame Asare who visited the centre reports that there was enough spacing among waiting chairs.
An official of the EC also checks the temperature of participants of the process with a thermometer gun.
The two-day exercise is in preparation for the mass registration exercise scheduled for the later part of June.
The EC is compiling a new voters’ roll ahead of the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections as it argues the current voter management system is no longer fit for purpose.
