Ghana's Embassy in the United States of America is marking the golden jubilee celebrations with series of investment forums to attract businesses to Ghana.
The event being championed by Ambassador Kwame Bawuah-Edusei is being held across the length and breadth of the US.
The investment forums are among other events such as durbars and funfairs by Ghanaians in the US to celebrate 50 years of independence.
Ambassador Bawuah-Edusei told Joy News the focus of the embassy's tours across the US states is to sell Ghana as the preferred destination for investment in Africa.
Mr Bawuah-Edusei said with competing demands for foreign direct investment, Ghana cannot sit down and hope that investors will come by themselves.
