The family of the late Nana Ama Amissah III, Paramount Queen Mother of the Mankessim Traditional Area and a member of the Governing Board of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), has formally informed the Board and Management of the date for her 40-day commemoration.
The family made the announcement during a meeting with the Board and Management of GoldBod on Wednesday, August 12, following the passing of the late Queen Mother. Her 40-day commemoration has been scheduled for September 12, 2026.
The Board Chairman, Kojo Fynn, extended the organisation’s heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and paid tribute to Nana Ama Amissah III, describing her as a kind, dedicated and remarkable woman whose service and contributions to GoldBod were deeply valued.

The Chief Executive Officer of GoldBod, Sammy Gyamfi, also expressed his sympathies to the family, describing her passing as a profound loss to GoldBod and the nation.

Mr Gyamfi assured the family of the organisation’s support during the difficult period and acknowledged the late Queen Mother’s contribution to the work of GoldBod.
