A female prison office warder has been suspended over an alleged 'affair' with a notorious sex murderer.
The unnamed woman is believed to have slept with Leigh Thornhill, 27, at Wakefield Prison, where he is behind bars for beating a mother-of-two to death.
The ex-soldier, described as 'dangerous and perverted' by a judge, was found guilty of battering 38-year-old Corinne Bailey in 2003, when he was only 19 - her body was found with 68 injuries in West Croydon, South London.
According to the Daily Mirror, a fellow inmate blew the whistle on the affair - and both the snitch and Thornhill have been moved to another prison now.
A Prison Service spokesman said: 'a member of staff from HMP Wakefield has been suspended pending the outcome of an internal investigation.'
The warder’s behaviour at the jail, which has been dubbed Monster Mansion as it houses many dangerous and high-risk offenders, has been severely questioned.
