Joy News has learnt of a fire outbreak at the Unilever factory in the Heavy Industrial Area of Tema, Greater Accra region.
Billowing smoke is visible after an explosion was heard at the consumables manufacturing company about 3:30pm Saturday.
Officials of the Fire Service are at the scene and journalists have not been allowed access to the premises.

The fire was quenched after two hours. There were no casualties.
