The Ghana Police Service has announced the arrest of four individuals in connection with the murder of the Akwamuhene (Chief) of Tanoso in the Bono East Region.
The police have named the suspects as Issifu Addae, also known as Akwasi Addae; Stephen Gyamfi; Augustine Arhinful; and Martha Mansah.
According to a statement issued by the police, the arrests follow a detailed investigation into the tragic death of the traditional leader.

Four additional suspects have been identified as persons of interest and are currently being pursued by police authorities.
The Ghana Police Service has assured the public that efforts to apprehend these remaining individuals are being ramped up.

According to preliminary findings, the Akwamuhene of Tanoso, who was recently destooled, reportedly rejected the decision and engaged in multiple legal battles and disputes with his family.

These ongoing conflicts are believed to have contributed to the tension leading up to the chief's death.
"The deceased had been involved in several litigations following his destoolment as the Akwamuhene of Tanoso," the statement read.

"We are working tirelessly to establish all the facts surrounding this unfortunate incident."

The four suspects currently in police custody are cooperating with investigators, providing further insights into the case.
