The Red Maria, a special operations team constituted by the Northern Regional Police Command, has arrested 10 suspects and impounded three motorbikes in a crackdown on drug peddling in Tamale.
The operation targeted areas such as Gurugu, Gumani, Kanvilli, and Gbela.

According to police sources, some of the suspects were caught with substances suspected to be Indian hemp, while others were found in possession of tramadol.
The suspects, aged between 20 and 56, are currently in police custody pending further investigation.

The operation forms part of ongoing efforts by the police to combat drug-related crimes in the region.
