The main vessel used in collecting and processing crude oil from the jubilee field-the FPSO is to be shut down in April for ten days. According to the partners on the field this is just to allow for some routine maintenance works. But JOYBUSINESS has gathered that the temporary fold up is rather aimed at carrying out some correctional works on the vessel to enable it fully process the 120 thousand barrels daily target.A source close to the partners has also told JOYBUINESS they are currently supressing production to ensure they do not exceed the daily target of 120 thousand barrels. The source adds the shutdown has become necessary because of fears that the vessel could be badly affected or break down if they hit the daily target. Production level is currently pegged around 115 thousand barrels a day.The FPSO has a storage capacity of 1.6 billion barrels.
