Hearts of Oak General Manager Gerald Ankrah has denied talks making rounds they are set to appoint Tony Lokko as coach.
The Phobians are without a substantive coach following the departure of experienced manager Herbert Addo. The 20 time league champions have endured a difficult spell this season, which has seen them win only six games in the league.
Ex-Tema Youth and Amidaus coach Tony Lokko has been strongly linked with a move to the club with reports indicating he has already agreed to a deal.
But Gerald Ankrah claims they have not decided on who will steer the technical affairs of the club.
“We have not contacted anybody or promised anybody the Hearts job. In bringing on new hands, the Board needs to do a thorough work and the Board has identified that,” he told Hearts News
“The Board is going out there to look at a series of coaches and then they will decide who to appoint as the next substantive coach of Hearts of Oak.”
In the interim, goalkeepers’ trainer Edward Ansah has been put in charge of the team to see them through a tough spell of games which include Aduana Stars, Heart of Lions and Liberty Professionals.
