President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA),Kwesi Nyantakyi has paid a courtesy call on Dr. Kwabena Duffuor in his office in Accra.
The call was to express appreciation to him for actively supporting the collaboration and partnership recently entered into by the GFA and uniBank.
Nyantakyi said that the sponsorship deal worth USD 1.2 m signed between the Black Stars and uniBank was historic, unique and timely, and that, the entire football fraternity is grateful to Dr. Duffuor and the management of uniBank.
”Your support came at a time when we had an indigenous coach handling the Black Stars and eventfully, the coach became the first indigenous Coach to send us to the World Cup, all with your financial support”. He noted.
Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi promised that, they will never disappoint uniBank and Ghanaians in the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup Tournament in Brazil.
Dr. Duffuor congratulated Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi for the able manner he has managed Ghana Football since he took over as the Chairman and President of the Association.
“Indeed, under your leadership, Ghana has successfully and consecutively appeared in the 2006, 2010 and now 2014 FIFA World CUP Tournament”.
He promised that uniBank will always be there to provide quality advisory services to the players as well as management team on banking and financial issues.
The former Minister of Finance said because of football, Ghana’s image is so high globally and urged the president to always manage and enhance that brand which binds the nation together.
