Ghana's Black Stars for the first time in nearly three years may be heading home next week to engage Jamaica in an international friendly.
The switch of venue has become necessary after organizers of the proposed friendly against Jamaica, which was originally slated for London on October 14 called off the game, citing security difficulties.
Information gathered by the GNA Sports indicates that the Stars are likely to host the encounter at the renovated El-Wak Stadium in Accra on Wednesday, October 17.
The British Metropolitan Police were apprehensive in policing the game, which prompted the administrators of the Leyton Orient venue to withdraw their permission to host the encounter.
With several other London clubs said to have turned down the offer to host the encounter, the Ghana Football Association, (GFA) which is bent on taking advantage of FIFA's three days for international friendlies are said to have decided to turn to the home venue.
The decision is to aid the preparations of the Stars towards the biennial event beckoning Ghana next January.
The game in Accra will be the Ghanaians first game at home after playing in the World Cup qualifiers in 2005.
