Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo continued his fine form for IF Elfsborg as they cruised to victory on Monday evening in the Swedish Allsvenkan.
The 24-year-old scored one and set up another in the dramatic 3-2 win over Norrkoping on matchday 21 of the top flight.
Baidoo was involved in the opening goal of the game as he set up Ahmed Qasem in the 11th minute to give Elfsborg the lead.
The attacking midfielder then took a turn to get on the scoresheet nine minutes later, connecting with a pass from Niklas Hult to double the lead for the home side.
Elfsborg went into the break with a 2-0 lead before Jeppe Okkels added a third.
However, Norrkoping looked certain to stage a late comeback with Marco Lund and Vito Hammershoj-Mistrati scoring in the last 25 minutes of the game. But the goals were not enough to earn them a point as Elfsborg sealed the victory.
Victory on the night means Elfsborg now extend their lead at the top of the Swedish league table with nine games until the end of the season.
Baidoo, who has missed just one league this season now has three goals and five assists to his name from 20 games.
