Asante Kotoko dropped points for the first time this season as they were defeated 1-0 by newly promoted Bechem United on Sunday.
The champions saw their 6-match winning run in the in the Ghana Premier League come to a shocking end in Bechem as they failed to score in the competition for the first time since match-day-1.
Patrick Opoku scored a first half goal as Bechem grabbed the headlines as giant killers in the league.
Despite their loss, the Porcupine Warriors still remain at the top of the standings after rivals Hearts of Oak could only draw 1-1 in Kpando.
Kotoko thus lead the log by two points ahead of Hearts of Oak, who are still in second position.
