Black Stars assistant coach Maxwell Konadu says they are ready for any team that Ghana will be paired with in the Group stage of the AFCON 2015 tournament in Equatorial Guinea.
Ghana will know their Group opponents for next year’s tournament on Wednesday when the draw is held in Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea.
Ghana is seeded in the first pot alongside hosts, Equatorial Guinea, 2012 champions Zambia and Ivory Coast.
What this means is that the Black Stars can be paired with the likes of Algeria, Burkina Faso and Cameroon.
But assistant coach Maxwell Konadu who is part of the Ghana delegation in Malabo for the draw says, they are ready for any team that they are paired with
“We’re all anxious to see what group we are drawn in but for us we’re looking forward to whatever challenge the draw throws up and we will tackle it with the spirit that Ghanaians have always been renowned for,” said Maxwell Konadu.
“As we are keen on knowing our opponents, the draw also allows us to really start preparations to make sure we are ready for whatever comes our way when the tournament starts."

Pot 1: Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Zambia
Pot 2: Burkina Faso, Mali, Tunisia, Algeria
Pot 3: Cape Verde, South Africa, Cameroon, Gabon
Pot 4: Guinea, Senegal, DR Congo, Congo
Pot one which includes the top seeds and hosts Equatorial Guinea will be accorded the position A1.
The first part of the draw will be to designate the groups for the other top seeds; Ghana, Ivory Coast and Zambia. The balls containing the names of the countries will be placed in a pot and indexes B1, C1, D1 in another pot.
The second stage will see teams from pot 4 being drawn with the first to be paired with the designated position A4, B4 and so on.
The operation will be repeated identically for the other pots.
