The Ghana Hockey association says a water-based pitch will be constructed as Ghana prepares to host a special Golden Jubilee international tournament.Presently Ghana has only one international standard pitch, which is sand-based at the Theodosia Okoh hockey grounds in Accra.The Chairman of the Hockey Association Oko Nikoi Dzane said the water-based pitch will improve hockey standards in Ghana and make the Ghanaian game globally competitive.
