Black Satellites captain Lawrence Lartey says they will now focus on making a huge impact at the FIFA Under- 20 World Cup in Turkey following their inability to clinch a fourth African Youth title last Saturday.
The Ghana Under 20 side went down 5-4 on penalties in the final to Egypt after a one all draw after extra-time.
The result denied coach Sellas Tetteh a second trophy at the Under 20 level after guiding the Black Satellites to their last African trophy in 2009.
According to captain Lartey, whose impressive performance earned him a place in the tournament's best XI team, they can make amends at the World Cup in June
"Now we have a World Cup tournament to play and I believe we can do what we couldn’t do here there," he told Joy Sports Ridwan Ibrahim Asante
"We were looking forward to win the tournament but we couldn’t so now that there is a World Cup ahead we will prepare well and make an impact there.
Ghana have been drawn in a tough group at the World Cup as they will face European champions Spain, France and the USA.
