A business strategist is advocating for a public private partnership in the running of the Accra International Trade Fair.Charles Mensah is convinced that will be the panacea to salvaging an edifice built by Ghana’s first president, which had lots of promise but thoroughly mismanaged by successive governments.The Accra International Trade Fair has become insolvent, with four of its account frozen. Many companies cited in the premises of the Trade Fair are reeling under difficult challenge of power and water cuts.Some have relocated their businesses. Joy News’ Eric Ahianyo who visited the Trade Fair ahead of this year’s International Trade Fair and Exhibition reported the situation as dire.The place has been deserted. It has become bushy with part of it taken over by lizards. The few companies present are choking under what they describe as mismanagement.Charles Mensah told Joy News’ Evans Mensah that government cannot own and manage the Trade Fair at the same time.He said the way forward will be a Private Public Partnership in the management of the business
