Sports fans who would be travelling for the forthcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland have no cause to worry regarding accommodation and airlifting, Kenpong Travel and Tours (KT&T) has revealed.
The Chief Executive Officer of KT&T Mr Kennedy ‘Cappuccino’ Agyapong has returned from the host country, Glasgow where he officially struck the accommodation and all travel agreements with the Games’ Local Organizing Committee (LOC).
He indicated that all travel arrangements for the 20thedition of the Games scheduled for July 23 to August 3, have been taken care of.
The well travelled businessman, who hosted the sporting media at his well designed and decorated Airport Residential Area home on Friday evening said “We had a fruitful deliberations regarding accommodation. All is set and fans should have no qualms and fears. We are on course.
“I have a very competent and experienced staff who are working around the clock to ensure that soccer fans who will be travelling with are comfortable. While I was in Glasgow, some members of my team were also in Brazil to firm up all arrangements for the 2014 World Cup.
“I met with the Ghana High Commissioner in Glasgow Dr Charles Ayiku, who has promised to accord us all the courtesies we deserve.”
“We are putting pieces together to roll out our plans and programs for the Glasgow Games this week. Plans are far advanced to airlift soccer fans for all the three Black Stars international friendlies against Montenegro on March 5, and subsequently Holland and Honduras ” he added.
The media and soccer friendly young businessman with offices in Cote d’Ivoire and Tanzania also hinted that his outfit have put in place proper arrangements to airlift soccer fans for the female U-20 World Cup in Canada and the Female U-17 World Cup in Costa Rica later this year.
The Commonwealth Games will feature 17 sports in eleven days of competition with 261 medal events on Show. 4,500 athletes will take part in the multi-sports event involving 71 teams of athletes from the Commonwealth of Nations
