GOIL PLC (GOIL) is now officially the Headline Partner of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).
At the launch of the 2023 edition of the quiz marking the 30th anniversary since its inception, Primetime Limited, organisers of the programme announced that the partnership will be for three years.
The Managing Director of Primetime Limited, Nana Akua Aboagyewaa Mensa-Bonsu recalled the three decades of programme and noted it has achieved major milestones capturing the heart of many Ghanaians.
She applauded sponsors for their dedication and commitment to promoting the study of Maths and Science.
The Public Relations Manager of GOIL, Robert Kyere, on behalf of the Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of GOIL, noted the company was taking the new partnership seriously. He explained the decision to sponsor was part of efforts to contribute to the unearthing and nurturing of young scientific minds to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Education.
He reiterated that GOIL was pleased to be a part of such a transformative programme, changing lives, and opening wider learning opportunities for students.
The company’s aim, he added, stemmed from its commitment to support educational development in consonance with Sustainable Development Goal 4 of promoting quality and inclusive education.
Apart from the headline partnership, GOIL is sponsoring ‘GOIL Riddle Bonanza’, ‘GOIL Super Bonanza’ and ‘GOIL Double Champion’ Awards.
The National Science and Maths Quiz is scheduled to commence on October 6, 2023 in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region and the grand finale held in Accra.
