Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL), has held a special party for its retiring staff.
The buffet lunch was climaxed with special awards for staff who have served the company between nine and 40 years.
They were presented with Certificates of Service and some GOIL products.
The Managing Director of the company, Patrick Akorli, commended the workers for the zeal and dedication during the long years of service emphasizing.
He notes that due to their dedication they were “retiring with peace and joy”.
He described management–union working relations as good, linking that to the modest successes and growth chalked by the company.
He admonished workers to always strive to work in good faith and think about the sustainability of the company.
He thanked the management team for the support and teamwork over the years.
The Finance manager, Ofori Sarkwa, advised the retirees to invest their retirement benefits wisely to protect their future.
In attendance at the ceremony were management, staff and other workers of GOIL.
