As a member of our Association, Dr Afisah has made us proud.Dr Afisah truly deserves her award taking into consideration her contributions in the Health sector of Ghana. Her character, composure, focuses and courage, earned her this award and glory and we are grateful to God. She has indeed done so much for our country, her generation and any award is well deserved.Dr Afisah as we know her is a remarkable woman, a committed wife and mother, a great patriot and a selfless professional. Her leadership qualities combined with hard work and an amiable personality gave her the unique brand she has become in Ghana's Health sector. We believe her choice as the Outstanding Female Doctor of the Year would boost the confidence of women from deprived communities since Dr Afisah rose to her current position from a humble beginning. We hope this will encourage more Northern women to follow her footprints. The maiden Ghana Women’s Awards was held in Accra, under the auspices of the Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs, in collaboration with Brein Consult of Ghana.
