President John Evans Atta Mills, in conformity with Article 76 of the 1992 Constitution, has constituted his Cabinet.Members include Dr Kwabena Dufuor, Minister of Finance; Lt General J.H. Smith (retd), Minister of Defence; Mr Cletus Avoka, Minister of the Interior; Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration; Mr Joe Gidisu, Minister of Roads and Highways; Mr Joseph Yieleh Chireh, Minister of Local Government and Rural Development; Dr George Sipa Yankey, Minister of Health.A statement signed and issued yesterday by the Head of Communications at the Office of the President, Mr Koku Anyidoho, named others as Mr Kwesi Ahwoi, Minister of Food and Agriculture; Mrs Betty Mould-Iddrisu, Minister of Justice and Attorney-General; Mr Alex Tettey-Enyo, Minister of Education; Ms Hannah Tetteh, Minister of Trade and Industry; Mr Haruna Iddrisu, Minister of Communications; Mr Albert Abongo, Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing; and Ms Hani Sherry Ayittey, Minister of Environment, Science and Technology.It named the rest as Dr Joe Oteng Adjei, Minister of Energy; Alhaji Collins Dauda, Minister of Lands and Natural Resources; Mr Mike Hammah, Minister of Transport; Mr Stephen Kwao Amoanor, Minister of Employment and Social Welfare, and Ms Akua Sena Dansua, Minister of Women and Children’s Affairs.The statement said the President yesterday met with his Cabinet for the first time and discussed the draft budget which is to be presented to Parliament on Thursday.Source: Daily Graphic
