The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Digital Center, Kwadwo Baah Agyemang says ICT strategies adopted by the NPP government have made Ghana a conducive place to invest.
In a speech read at the 2nd edition of the Black History Festival 2023 in Columbus, Ohio, USA, Kwadwo Baah Agyemang urged attendees to take full advantage of the Black History Festival platform to collaborate and work towards Ghana's digital future and prosperity.
"As the Black History Festival is planned to perpetuate into the future as an annual event, I see a continuous need to uphold the collaborative nature of the event and build on the milestone achieved in the previous years. I would like to challenge you all today to think boldly. Be daring. Be creative. Be innovative.
"Use this week to re-imagine Ghana's and Africa's digital future. Let us take full advantage of the platform that the Black History Festival 2023 provides not only to celebrate what we have accomplished and how far we have come. But also to collaborate and to co-create.

"Ghana's investment climate favourably provides for enabling environment that is suitable for investment in ICT, especially with several companies around the world rushing to set up their business in Ghana. I want to entreat you all diasporans, other nationals and organisations to come to Ghana and invest in the land of golden opportunities," he stated.
Kwadwo Baah Agyemang added that with regards to empowering women, his Sector Minister, Ursula Owusu Ekuful, has spearheaded the Girls in ICT programme as one means to break the bias against females in the ICT space.

"My Ministry is looking at training 5,000 girls in basic ICT skills and coding this year. These 5,000 girls will hopefully soon establish their tech start-ups and become entrepreneurs who will employ others to expand the value chain."
The Black History Festival is a special initiative dedicated to the celebration of the strong ties between USA and Africa. It is an annual event held to celebrate the achievements, heritage and contribution of the people of African origin in the USA.
