Trainer of Dodzi Kermah, a former IBF Africa Super Welterweight champion, Elvis Adjei-Baah has called on the country’s Sport Authority to make a case for legendary boxing coach Lawrence Carl Lokko to be honoured by the state for his overwhelming contributions to the sport that has seen the Ghana produce world class boxers and ultimately stake a claim in the world of boxing.

Elvis Adjei-Baah believes the trainer, who has over the years nurtured talents into world class boxers and in some instances, world champions must be appreciated by the state with a well-deserved honour.
“Carl Lokko is a big inspiration to some of us who took interest in the training bit of the sports. For over 25 years, he has single handedly trained so many talented boxers at his Bronx Boxing gym in James Town, which has seen the likes of Jude, Micah, Richard Commey into world champions while the likes of unknown talents such Kpakpo Allotey, Frederick Lawson, Braimah Kamako were discovered by the legendary coach.”
Elvis Adjei-Baah believes the current executive member of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) must be given his due for a tremendous impact on the sport over the years.
“If Ghana boxing has got any history, coach Lokko’s name will be written somewhere”.
